Allen County Museum welcomes traveling exhibit from Ohio Help Me Grow

LIMA — The new exhibit features the Help Me Grow iSandbox from Bright Beginnings, an Ohio-based childhood development organization.

The Allen County Museum will host the traveling exhibit through early August. The museum’s summer hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays.

The sandbox allows visitors to interact with dynamic augmented reality projections while playing in the sand, simulating landscapes, rivers, mountains and other natural features.

The exhibition is designed to engage visitors and inform families of all Help Me Grow services, including home visits, early intervention, developmental screenings and community resource directories. Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center provides home visiting services, and Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities provides Help Me Grow early intervention services.
