TIFFIN — Students and adults from the Seneca County Opportunity Center will take to the stage with Heidelberg University in the musical “How to Be a Pirate in Seven Easy Songs,” at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 2nd in Heidelberg’s Ohl Concert Hall.

The unique partnership allows individuals with disabilities to take the stage and perform in front of an audience. Heidelberg theatre students have been conducting weekly workshops and rehearsals at SCOC in preparation for the performances. This is the fourth production with SCOC and Heidelberg, with past performances including “Oceans of Fun,” “A Barnyard Moosical,” and “A Year with Frog and Toad.” Proceeds from this show will go toward future art education at SCOC.

During the musical, “How to Be a Pirate in Seven Easy Songs,” you will party hearty with this rollicking cast of perfect pirates. You will learn how to dress like a pirate, search for buried treasure, raise the Jolly Roger, and sail away into the sunset during this arrr-mazing musical for the community.

The musical is co-directed by Sandy Kimmel, the Music and Movement instructor at SCOC, and Hannah Lewis, a junior theatre major at Heidelberg.
