In an effort to strengthen community relations, Greene County is introducing the Blue Envelope Program to the area.
The program is a collaboration between the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, the county’s Board of Developmental Disabilities and Beavercreek Township.
“This collaborative initiative reflects a shared commitment between our agencies to provide safe, clear, and respectful communication between law enforcement officers and individuals who may have developmental disabilities or communication challenges during traffic stops or other interactions,” said the Greene County Sheriff’s Office in a social media post.
The envelope is intended to aid drivers with developmental disabilities during interactions with law enforcement and first-responders.
