GRANGER TWP. — Toddlers scooped up acorns and dried pumpkin seeds, decorated pumpkins and popped bubbles during the Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities’ fall-themed toddler playgroup.
Throughout the year, the Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities hosts several sessions of its Play, Learn and Grow, a community playgroup for families with children 3 and younger with or without disabilities.
The goal is to provide informal community gatherings, giving young families a chance to meet, form connections and share the experiences of raising toddlers.
Early intervention specialists attend each playgroup, bringing different activities for kids to interact with based on a set theme, like Wednesday’s theme of fall fun.
Next year, MCBDD plans to hold six sessions at different locations throughout Medina County. The first playgroup of the year will be on Jan. 28 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Brunswick Library, 3649 Center Road.
