YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN)- Two local agencies are teaming up to help younger people living with developmental disabilities get ready for the next stage in life.
A Transition Fair being held on Wednesday, October 1, will showcase jobs and resources available.
Kaitlyn Kosec, with the Educational Service Center of Eastern Ohio, and Kathy Brunton, with the Mahoning County Board of Developmental Disabilities, shared details on the event.
The free Transition Fair is for people ages 14-22 as well as their families, caregivers and teachers in the tri-county area.
According to a press release, providers of services and agencies across the Mahoning Valley will share information and connect people with disabilities and their families to supports that can help them move from their teenage years to adulthood. Employers will also be there with applications.
